The Department of Information and Media Studies is situated in the Wiener building of the IT City of Katrinebjerg.

It takes about 30 minutes to walk from Aarhus' Central Train Station to the Department of Information and Media Studies.
From Aarhus' Central Train Station walk along Park Allé towards the City Hall, turn left, follow Vester Allé past the Museum of Modern art (AROS), then go towards Vesterbro Torv. Walk straight along Hjortensgade and Langelandsgade, keeping the Botanical Gardens at your left. Turn left at Paludan Müllers Vej, and go straight on until you reach the Storcenter Nord shopping centre. Turn right at Finlandsgade, then left at Helsingforsgade; the IT City will be directly in front of you

From Copenhagen
Take motorway 21 towards Aarhus, and go straight along Omfartsvejen, then further on, along Kalundborgvej. Turn right at Tuse Lågevej, and go straight along Nykøbingvej, Kirkekåsvejen, and finally Oddenvej. At Sjællands Odde you can take the ferry to Aarhus. In Aarhus, leave the harbour and go straight along Nørreport and Nørrebrogade. Turn left at Nordre Ringgade, go straight, then turn right onto Paludan Müllers Vej, go right at Finlandsgade, then left at Helsingforsgade.

Travel time: approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.
An alternative to taking the ferry (which does not run after certain hours, check www.mols-linien.dk) is the route is over the Storebæltsbroen bridge.
From Aalborg
From the E45 motorway towards Aarhus, take exit 46, and follow the second road in the roundabout, Århusvej. Go straight along Søftenvej. At the roundabout, follow Randersvej. Turn left at Malmøgade and turn left onto Ørebrogade, then right at Stockholmsgade. Take a left at Lillehammervej, left at Brendstrupvej, right at Reykjaviksgade, left at Katrinebjergvej, right at Finlandsgade, then left at Helsingforsgade.

Please note that you may park your car in the street in front of the department, in the yard between the grey glass buildings, or in the shopping centre car park (for which there is a parking fee).
From the Central Train Station
The number 2A (going in the direction of Skejby Sygehus) leaves from the Central Train Station (Bangårdspladsen) every 10 minutes. Get off at the Paludan-Müllersvej/Åbogade stop and walk the last 300m along Åbogade.
