The academic tradition in Denmark may be different from the one international students are used to in their home country.
Teaching is structured around lectures, seminars and project-based activities. A lot of work is done in small study groups, where each student is expected to contribute actively to discussions as well as to work independently. The Danish academic tradition promotes creativity and analytical thinking. Dialogue between professors and students is relaxed and informal. Students are welcome to call on the professor between lectures if they have questions or issues, they would like to discuss.
